I was on an artist residency at Pukaskwa National Park on Lake Superior, in Northern Ontario, Canada. One evening while the sun was setting on this fabulous scene, I sat painting and at same time worrying if I would have to make it back to my campsite in the dark. I was filled with awe at the scene but at the same time aware of how alone I was with darkness approaching, I think the painting shows this.
