Pen and ink with watercolours. I saw my first Musk Ox in Ivvavik National Park while on a Parks Canada Arts Residency program. Musk Ox had not been seen in the park for many years so it caused quite a stir. I was not able to get close to them but the library in Inuvik had a taxidermy version of one which I used for this painting. I expected them to be the size of a buffalo but they are actually the size of a cow!
