Bate Island
This Island in the Ottawa River is half way over the Champlain Bridge on Island Park Drive. There is a right hand turn off if driving towards Quebec. What's there? Views of both sides of the river, Parliament Hill, lots of trees and geese. Dogs allowed on leash. Outhouse only, picnic tables, covered Picnic area (meet here at 12 for lunch and show and tell if you want). Next Week Possibly Morris Island Conservation Area |
